PayPal Donations form stuck on loop after submit

    I installed this plugin weeks ago, set up and linked a PayPal account, completed multiple updates since then, disconnected and reconnected the PayPal account, and I have not been able to complete a single successful donation. The form displays on the page, and I am able to enter the payment information, but then when I click to submit, it just gets stuck on the green spinning circle. I have seen others posting with similar problems, and some of those threads are being marked resolved without any indication that the problem has been identified or addressed. What is going on? Why doesn’t this plugin work?

    Happy to clarify here.

    From what I can see on your site, you are using PayPal Donations, correct? I know this is frustrating, but this a recent feature and we are experiencing some intermittencies on PayPal’s side. Although our integration is prepared, it looks like there is some kind of malfunctioning on PayPal’s Donations platform. This is most likely the reason why it’s not working on your site.

    And since this issue is not on GiveWP itself, it means that we are relatively stuck, because we can’t really fix something that is not broken on our side, but on the other side of the equation. Also, it’s not happening only for you but for a few other users.

    These are the reasons why we are in constant contact with PayPal and its dev team, so they can work on a fix as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the workaround we suggest is using the PayPal Standard method. It’s a robust payment method and it is working properly.

    I am using Paypal Standard, but only the paypal option is working, not the credit card option. When I try to pay via credit card, the transaction does not go through and just takes me to a blank page.
