    This plugin alters your database by adding a new column to ‘posts.’ This is not good wordpress development, and it should not be used by anyone! It does not even have an uninstall feature. So if you have installed this plugin, you will manually need to remove it using something like phpmyadmin or CLI.

    ‘GD Star Rating’ can accomplish this task with with’s thumbs rating and template system. You can create a template that uses links such as ‘like’ and ‘dislike’ instead of the thumbs images. It also has reporting and widgets. The better bet.

  • Thanks for this post.. I was just about to ask how to fully uninstall it, and whilst you’ve said that it adds a new column to ‘posts’.. can you explain exactly how I go about removing this using PHPMyAdmin?

    Another freakin’ annoying thing is that it tried to “call home”, which is almost as annoying as spam or adds. There is NO REASON whatsoever for this plugin to contact ANY server except for my own! Thank God I did a test on a closed local test-environment first. Just a shame I can’t rate any lower than the one star I did now. Avoid this plugin!
