Something went wrong when connecting to Facebook

I am trying unsucessfully to update to the latest Facebook for WooCommerce Plugin and had to start from scratch. After deleting the old plug in and installing manually – I was not able to install it from the Woocommerce dashboard because it doesn’t seem to recognize I have subscribed to the extention.. I uploaded the downloaded plugin zip file.

After going through the configuration where I connect to facebook and use the setup wizard, at the end I get the famous “Something went wrong when connecting to facebook”.

I’ve been through business manager and commerce manager on facebook and cannot see any issues. Here is the link that causes the error:
