• Sad to say this, because version 12 had been excellent.
    Version 13.x has a lot of issues with a wide range of plugins, and with every little problem solved, two more seem to arise. After having had to fix five sites manually on the root level, I switched back to version 12.6, but only in order to have an interim solution until I found an alternative for this crap.

    Sorry to say, these developers seem to be a bunch of amateurs who are not able to handle problematic situations properly. I would have expected that, instead of advising people to roll back to 12.6 after experiencing problems (which could easily lead to breaking the whole site), that crappy version 13 should have been removed totally so that it would not be offered to users at all. This would be an action that proved the developers to be real professionals.

    As the people at the www.remarpro.com Plugin Directory mailed me a few days ago:
    “If someone wants to destroy their plugin and, thus, their reputation in the community, that’s on them. We advocate users to leave reviews to express their displeasure.”
    Today I decided to do so.

    We are truly sorry about any inconvenience v13x caused.

    We’ve had a lot of changes and it caused some unexpected issues. Almost 200k users updated the plugin and a few of them encounter these difficulties, and we are really sad about that. We tried our best to fix all the problems and finally, we released a new version(v13.0.4) yesterday.

    Offering users a free plugin instead of trying hard to get rid of the problems which obviously still exist to a certain extent, is not the right way IMO.
    Today I tried to update a test site from v12 to 13.0.4 which, in your opinion, should work smooothly. Maybe you would want to take a look at the error log (domain name is anonymized):

    Please note that bugs are an inevitable part of the development process. Almost 200k users update the plugin to v13+ and they didn’t have any problem. So could you please give us another chance and do me a favor? Please update your plugin to v13.0.5 and let us know the result.

    Update to 13.0.5 is still buggy. Did you have a close look to the error log I posted (pls. look above)? What else do you need to locate the problem?
    Just read the line which starts with “PHP Fatal error” to the end, and afterwards try to locate the file which your code tries to use. Does it exist? NO!!!
