• Hello,

First all thank for all the work in putting together this plugin. Is it possible to use the input from multiple forms across several days/weeks, to generate a pdf at the end with the content from these different forms?

    Thanks!

Which form plugin are you using?

    Hi,

If you mean merging entries from different forms, unfortunately it’s not yet supported. However we are working on adding its support. The first extension that must support this feature will be Formidable Forms so we recommend to look forward on plugin change log, however we can update this thread if this is the feature which you are looking for.

P.S. Merging multiple datasets will be supported along same form plugin.

    Hi,

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. Amazing support!

I am not using a specific form plugin yet. I and open to either option really. So long as I can merge. I guess I will go with Formidable forms since it is the one that will support this function first.

Do you have visibility as to when this feature will be available? Are you aware of any workaround? Such as prefilled form field leveraging a previously filled form? Ie: Form 1: I provide my name and email and X paragraph text. Then in form 2 I have the previous fields already populated with answers from form 1, I am also asked new questions specific to form 2. Then form 2 generates a PDF based on answers from both forms (even though technically it is only using one form to generate the pdf).

    Thanks.

Merge datasets function will combine data only inside PDF and via “E2Pdf” -> “Export” on backend however it seems that you need something different.

If you need to pre-populate fields on form 2 this is the question to the forms plugin and it must not be any issues with generation PDF via E2Pdf on just form 2 as all required data will be submitted.

It looks like you need to follow something like this:

    https://formidableforms.com/knowledgebase/automatically-populate-fields/

Or popuplate data on 2nd form submission via PHP code.

Thanks a lot. I built a quick demo across three separate forms. Then I built a fourth “recap form” for the user to check all data across these different forms. Which is then summitted and the PDF is created. I however had an issue uploading the pdf template. It kept loading then nothing happened. I tired again and nothing happened again. I ended up doing the test with a blank pdf.

By “Uploading” template do you mean PDF file with prepared fields? Did you try to upload it by choosing “Upload PDF” on Template creation process?

    If so:
    – Check please if you do not see any errors on “E2Pdf” -> “License”
    – Upload please PDF file somewhere and let us know the URL where we can download it so we can check it on our side.
