NextGen Gallery Broke Simple Tags

    I’ve been using this plugin for years. I run a fan site for a college basketball team so the ability to add suggested tags from local tags is an enormous help especially when dealing with boxscores and stats with a large number of player names.

    A couple of months ago WordPress 5.5 broke this plugin but you were able to resolve it relatively quickly. I’ve run into the same issue again but this time NextGen Gallery 3.4.7 seems to have broken simple tags. If I disable NextGen, I get suggested tags and am able to select them from local tags. When the plugin is enabled, no suggested tags are displayed for local tags. I just get spinning gears next to “suggested tags from”.

    I would disable NextGen Gallery altogether but I have a number of photo galleries in use.

    We’ll look into it but seems like something that NextGen would have to be involved too, when fixing, so I can’t promise anything.

    hi thanks for this post – NextGen seems to be playing hell with a lot of plugins since the last update. I too used it, not as much now, so I have turned it off.

    As a result of turning it off, Auto Tags works perfectly with latest WP install and also the other issues I had with plugins work fine ??
