Updates should get tested before published
-
I like this Plug In very much! It is an adequate solution if you don’t want to have google Analytics on page for data protection!
BUT (this is a big but -2 points for the moment):
If there is an Update in the pipeline you should test this Update befor publishiung it, the last one with Version 13.0.2 has detroyed tons of Webpages because of different issues. Database collaps, WP Admin collaps etc. etc.Reason? Don’t know exactly but there is Code included in the new version which is running “optimisations” every couple of seconds for the Database, which takes down even the high performing servers. Ther should nothing be included in a Code which runs automatically for “optimisation” without asking the Website Admin. This always can cause errors.
So for me a rollback (not so easy to get as server was totally lost) was the only solution to save my website. I read all the comments about the issus and i’m thining that the Developer need to read them as well, as there are many people which are saying the same about Coding etc.)…
Another -1 Point i have to give Today after the New release! Because this release was not tested as well and the developer sid in the Support Forum, we as user should test ist and let them know, this is a no go. In case someone knows an alternative, just let me now and i will test it as well.
Final note:
So for me MATOMO is the best solution now, no problems with big websites and fast support!
