problem setting up / ionos hosting

    i try to set up sending via smtp, like i did a zhousand times before. even have a project, where it all runs just fine, same host, copied all settings over, no luck.

    the host is ionos, and when trying to set it up via the wizard, after checking, it doesn’t even offer me smtp via my selected server. any clue on what is going on..?
    now that i think about it, the domain including email is hosted at ionos, while the website is located somewhere else. could that be the issue?

  • Hi @jnz31,

    It shouldn’t matter where your site is hosted so long as your email SMTP server is defined in the plugin.

    Have you run a connectivity test from the plugin settings? If so, what were the results?

    i see. strange.
    i did that test now, status closed, service non. connected the email in my email client for testing with no issues whatsoever. still weird..
