Pretty Links all returning 404s

    We use the Pretty Links Lite plugin to shorten the links to all of our podcast show notes posts, as well as external links (like affiliates, etc). We’ve never had a problem until this afternoon. As of a couple of hours ago, our pretty links have started returning 404 errors. We’ve tested on 2 computers and on mobile. Cleared the computer caches, and I put the site in troubleshooting mode and tested plugin compatibility.

    Right before we noticed all of the pretty links returning 404s, we noticed one pretty link was redirecting to a post that has been long-deleted. The link is https://www.vegetarianzen.com/review (set to go to our “leave a review page” on the My Podcast Reviews website. It had been working fine. Now, however, it has started incorrectly redirecting to https://www.vegetarianzen.com/review-of-vega-sport-pre-workout-energizer/, which is a post that my wife deleted from our site in the past month.

    I’m not sure what else to try to fix this problem. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

    It must have been un-deleted if it’s showing up.

    WordPress tries to find a permalink match before throwing a 404, so it’s likely that /review – WP is searching for a post like that and redirecting to the review-of-vega… post instead.

    If all of your pretty links are 404’ing, try vising your Permalinks settings in WordPress and ensure it’s not set to “Default” mode.

    I don’t see a “default” mode in the settings. It’s set to “post name” which I believe it’s always been. I’m wondering if reverting back to a previous version will see if it’s something that happened with the latest version.

    Our issue was resolved. It was conflicting with another plugin we use called Lasso. Lasso released an update that fixed that issue. Thanks.
