Deleting attributes

    If I delete, for example, the attribute ‘red’ from the attributes section without going into the product and removing the red attribute from each product, will any relationships be left behind in the database?

    Yes, possibly. You should be able to then clear those out using the “delete orphaned variations” in your “WooCommerce > Status > Tools” page.
