Tax Not Working

Hi there,

Based on those settings, it looks like it should only be charging tax for Jordan (as you mentioned). Taking a look at the Checkout page though, I see that it’s always returning tax, even when switching the address to other countries.

Please send a screenshot of your other tax settings under WooCommerce > Settings > Tax as well. I recommend https://snipboard.io for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in your reply here.

Unexpected behavior like this is most often caused by conflicts with code in other active plugins, or the active theme. To check for conflicts, please temporarily switch your theme back to the default Storefront theme and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce, then check to see if the issue is fixed. If it is, then switch your theme back and reactivate plugins one-by-one until you find the one that is causing the issue.

If you are still having trouble, please share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. I disabled every thing in plugins, and activated storefront and still the same issue

Thank you for providing that. Taking another look at the site, I see that it’s now no longer returning tax for any country (including Jordan). Have you temporarily disabled tax on the site? Have you made any other changes? Still seeing the same issue?

On my personal site, testing with settings similar to the screenshot in your original post, the tax appears to be displaying as expected when switching between countries.

Yes I still seeing the same issue, I disabled it because the website is live an there are orders from customers, I created a dev site with only woocommerce and store front Theme, you can check https://dev2020.fli-corp.com/

To ensure WooCommerce is working as expected, try switching back to a default theme like Twenty Twenty-One and disabling all plugins except for WooCommerce to see if this resolves the problem.

If this fixes the issue, then re-enable each plugin one at a time, then the theme, until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.
