Problem with Theme “Neve”

    Hi and Hello,

    I am very happy with the plugin – thanks a lot for your good work. But today I need help with an issue I cannot solve: Since a few weeks we are using a new theme, called “Neve”. In the Neve-Theme the pictures of our Authors are shown great in all elements which are designed with a Pagebuilder (Elementor). Our Team list (Plugin) works great with the plugin, too.

    The problem: The native pages (e.g. Single Page) do not show the pictures. So the theme-native-author-box don’t shows the picture and I don’t have any idea why. I opened a ticket for the Neve-Support-Team; they recommended to use another plugin for the author box. I tried one, but it causes many other problems.

    Is there any solution without using another additional plugin? Any idea? Thanks a lot!

    Hi @jwhberlin and thank you for this message.
    My plugin simple rewrites original WordPress function get_avatar();.
    If this theme don’t use original WordPress function no plugins will work.
    I think you must ask to Neve-Support-Team if his theme use get_avatar(); function.
    Let me know, I’m curious!

    if you have an idea, it would be great. Actually we only see the author-pics in some views, but not in the article view. It is funny, that elementor shows the pics, but not the native theme.

    the problem is that I don’t know how the themes will print the avatar without WordPress functions.
    I can and I must use the original WordPress function get_avatar(); but I can’t predict what the themes will do with custom scripts…

    thanks – I understand this completely. What I don’t understand is, why someone needs something else than the get_avatar()? Is there any reason on this world? ??
