I just activated the plugin a few hours ago and tested it. Traffic is being recorded (in realtime too) but not events. Trying internal as well as external links but the clicks are not being captured. I’m using analytics.js with script in the footer. I enabled outbound link capture and I don’t have stealth tracking enabled.

    Thanks.

Hi @daanvandenbergh, I’m still having the above issue after 3 days. Only 1-4 events are being recorded per day, whereas it used many more before. I changed the footer option to header as well, but it didn’t make a difference.

If it tracks some events, then something else must be causing CAOS to not work properly. Are you using any kind of JavaScript combine/minify tools?

I use Autoptimize and Async Javascript plugins.

Could you exclude analytics.js from being deferred by Async Javascript? This could be causing the ga object not to exist, when the Google Analytics script and Outbound Link Tracker are triggered.

Ok, I added analytics.js to the Script Exclusion field but there’s no change. I also disabled Async Javascript but it’s still not tracking.

Ok, I think that did the trick. I cleared cache too and it looks like events are being logged now. Thanks a lot for your help!

Cool! Always clear cache after making changes ??

    Enjoy CAOS!
