Sending mail notifications

Hello,
This great little plugin still works in my 2020 WP install! I would like to add mail notification on top of web notification.. I am not a developper, but I dared looking at the code (since I can read english, and it’s well commented ;-).
Looks like it could be done adding something line 427 of crowdmentions/inc/functions.php just after bp_notifications_add_notification( $args );… but what code exactly? Something with bp_send_email()? With what arg?
