PayPal Donation just hangs

    Hi there,
    I’ve linked a live Paypal account to my staging site as I am trying to get paypal donations to work for international donations outside of South Africa.
    The account is connected fine from GiveWP to Paypal but when I try and make a payment with my credit card the form just hangs and shows me the green wheel going round and round. I also can’t seem to find any indication within my connected paypal account that GiveWP is connected.

    Please help! I’ve raised a ticket about GiveWP paypal donations causing a critical error and have heard nothing for 6 days, I hope to hear from you sooner about this issue.

    By the way Stripe is set up on my live site and it works fine. So it’s not the site, it’s an issue with either GiveWP connecting to PayPal or PayPal.

    Happy to help you!

    We released a new integration with PayPal and we found out that, in specific scenarios, PayPal may not connect correctly to the website. We are already investigating it too and hope to release a fix for it soon.

    I’ve passed your issue to the product development team, so they know that more people are facing the same issue. You can follow up on the discussion here https://feedback.givewp.com/bug-reports/p/paypal-donations-fails-to-connect and even add your thoughts on it too if that’s the case ??

    NOT RESOLVED…. Why is this marked resolved?? We have the exact same issue described, item #2 “Warning, your account is not ready to accept donations. Please review the following list: Your account was expected to be able to accept custom payments, but is not. Please make sure your account country matches the country setting. If the problem persists, please contact PayPal.” This is extremely frustrating, and via the link you sent, I see 8 people have voiced the same issue. Can you let us know how long we must wait for this fix? My GiveWP plugin is up to date, the issue remains since 12 days ago or more…
