    Hello,
Is it normal that on the YoastSEO section when you edit a page there is no more a box to add some keywords ?
I have only Meta Title, Slug, Meta Description but there is no way to add some keywords ?

    Hi @dwnfred,

    Thanks for reaching out.

We would like some more information:

    1. Can you confirm you have the right user permissions? You can check by going to Users > Your Name > Yoast SEO settings (may need to scroll down) and confirm that both “disable SEO” and “disable readability” are unclicked
    2. Can you confirm that the SEO, Readability, and Insights are all enabled by going to SEO > General > Features and checking that SEO, Readability, and Insights are all enabled?
    3. Can you confirm that the SEO and Readability are enabled on the posts? You can check by going to SEO > Search Appearance > Content Types and seeing that the Yoast SEO Meta box says “Show”
    4. Can you confirm that if you go to the post/page and click on Screen Options (in the top right) that all the right options are enabled? If you are using the new Gutenberg editor you will need to click on the dots in the corner and select options. See image:?https://pasteboard.co/I0PzCxd.png?which highlights how to check this.

Also, this article should help serve as a guide for some of the settings —?https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-enable-disable-the-keyword-analysis/.

    Hi,

Can you confirm that you have Yoast SEO 15.2.1 and WordPress 5.5.3?

But I have seen that info :

We’ve removed the meta keywords box
Meta keywords haven’t had any use for ages. In 2009, Google officially confirmed that they didn’t use them. We, however, kept the box since some of you clamored at the slightest hint that we were even thinking about deleting it. But now, after all these years, it is the time to say goodbye to the old meta keywords box. It was fun while it lasted, but it should have been gone years ago. Read why we don’t use meta keywords and why you shouldn’t either.

    Hello,

Thanks for the clarification. You were referring to meta keywords; we assumed you meant the field to add a focus keyword/keyphrase.

As you have rightly found out, major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing have categorically implied that it’s no longer being used for SEO ranking. So the feature has been removed from the Yoast SEO plugin since Yoast SEO v6.3.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

I just checked this thread while looking for some information about how to add meta keywords. Since the meta keywords box is no longer available, is there any way to add them? I have checked some competitors’ websites and they are using meta keywords. Seems like it still has some purpose:)

    Could you help?

    Thank you.

    Hi @naureen,

We’re sorry. Since Yoast SEO 6.3, that ‘feature’ has met its end. There is no longer an option to activate a meta keywords input field. Learn more: https://yoast.com/meta-keywords/
