custom header dissappeared when CSS background added

Try this instead
#header #pic { background: url(https://forthememories.files.wordpress.com/2010/01/for-the-memories-banner-bw-new-title-copy.jpg) no-repeat; }

I’m having the same problem… I’m copmpletely new to this. When I’ve changed the colour of my text, the banner has gone. I’ve no idea what I have done and can’t work it out! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
