Message can not be sent – All configurations are correct

  • Hi support-team,

    i’m already really frustrated. For one of my clients i use the Avada-theme and setup two contact forms on the link sent above.

    I was in touch with the Avada-Support already and with the support of my hosting, nobody can find the problem why messages from these both contact forms cannot be sent. What’s really strange too is the fact that about two weeks ago i could sent the messages and everything worked fine.

    At this moment i tried it with the wp mail smtp-plugin, i configured this one too successfully and checked the email-sending, it worked for the wordpress@… email. But messages from contact form can still not be send.

    I don’t have any more ideas what i can do? :-((

    cool subject: “All configurations are correct” – if it is all correct, it will work for sure ??

    I think most of this is simple webspace stuff problems.

    First try to make sure you can send mails from your webspace without using CF7. You can do with a PHP fine in your root directory, ask Google.

    Mail sending with SMTP is somehow unusual, ask your provider what’s the way and the requirements to send mails from your webspace and from wordpress.

    Than check CF7 again, did you get any message? Did you check the mail logs of your webspace (/var/log/mail, /var/log/mail.error etc.)? Did you check error console with F12?

    P.S.: There is : “The specified value “Geburtsdatum” does not conform to the required format, “yyyy-MM-dd””

    Hi,
    it’s no hosting problem, because i have several domains and email-adresses with the same hosting, everything is working fine beside these two contact forms on this domain.

    And as i wrote, about 2 weeks ago sending email via these two contanct forms worked without problems. And it worked without the wp mail smtp plugin which of course didn’t solve the problem as well.

    So i’m sorry but your answer is not helping me really.

    Any other ideas?

    Did you check logs?
    Did you check the “The specified value “Geburtsdatum” does not conform to the required format, “yyyy-MM-dd”” error (seen in web console)?

    Email-Sending works.
    I didn’t check logs and don’t know how to do that, i’m not a coder.
    Geburtsdatum is correct, i just renewed the field in the form, but it’s still the same.

    I think the configuration is wrong. Error is still present. Did you check with web console in your browser? If not, ask Google about.

    According to the manual https://contactform7.com/date-field/ a given value in the date field has to be in YYYY-MM-DD format. You can than change the email outout later.

    If a value is specified in a date field, the value must be in YYYY-MM-DD format (e.g. 2013-04-08) according to the HTML5 specification.

    So check your form :
    a. without a value,
    b. with a correct value as the manual says

    and present the results.

    If mail sending is working in this case, o.k.
    But viewing logs is not a special ‘coder thing’.

    I changed the date-field into a text-field, but sending still doesn’t work. My hoster says everything is fine, i can send emails on this domain.

    Google Web Console i just tried, but i cannot find the relevant data for this item.

    a. without value – getting this error:
    Ein oder mehrere Felder weisen einen Fehler auf. Bitte überprüfe das und versuche es erneut.

    b. i cannot change the the value from TT.MM.JJJJ to JJJJ.MM.TT – it’s given from the predefined contact form fields

    Changing PHP-Version from 7.4 to an older version (7.3-7.0) also didn’t help.

    Can you show the CF7 form configuration?

    Can you send me email to: hans.leger at cl-webservice.de please, i would prefer to give you login. I don’t feel technically fit enough to solve this furthermore.

    I just want to check the configuration lines for the date field in CF7 form, something like:
