Sorry can’t do that. But previous version of the plugin works fine. And other issues I found are
1. Placeholder that should appear before documents are loaded do not display in desktop firefox (in incognito mode) as well as in android firefox app.
2. Even when placeholder appear, clicking on the ‘Reload’ button does nothing.

Please note, the other issues I mentioned above are for version 2.6.1.

Could you please provide us with the site URL? If not, please do the below steps.

From the dashboard, please go to Tools > Site Health > Info (Second Tab) and click the ‘Copy site info to clipboard’ button. Please make sure that all results are loaded. Then, share the active theme and plugins details from the generated result.

Hi @alve39,

This issue is due to the lazy loading of iframes (using Lazy Load Optimizer). We have already added a fix for this. We have tested this with the Lazy Load Optimizer plugin, and it works fine. We will soon release an update containing this fix and fixes for other issues.

Note: If you don’t want the lazyloading of iframes, you can also disable the lazyloading to fix this issue.
You can do the same from Settings > Lazy Load Optimizer > lazy loading for iframes from the WordPress admin screen.
OR
Go to ‘Exception settings’ and ‘CSS classes to exclude’ field add this: ead-iframe and ‘Save Changes.’

I really need the plugin Lazy Load Optimizer because it speeds up my website. But I think, I’ll have to disable it for a while until you can provide an update to the plugin Embed any document.

Please note, Embed any document plugin is not conflicting to only the plugin Lazy load optimizer. But to all ‘lazy load’ plugins I have tested including Lazy load, A3 lazy load, Lazy Loader.

When I tried doing like you mentioned, i.e exclude ead-iframe class, on the Exception settings. Embed any document plugin works fine.

But page loading times is impacted, since I need to add many documents. If embed any document plugin can work in harmony with lazy load plugin, it would really help me and everyone using your wonderful plugin.

A new update for this will be coming soon. If this is an urgent requirement, you can get the development version from our GitHub repo. This contains the fix you need. Please download and test this version and give us feedback.

Note: Please don’t directly upload it via WordPress. Please use FTP or any file manager. Then rename the folder to embed-any-document

Hi @vidyakv thank you very much for the update. I have downloaded and tested the plugin from github. I tested the plugin embed any document with quite a few ‘lazy load’ plugins. From what I can see, Embed any document plugin is still not compatible with (i.e no documents are displayed even after several page refresh)

1. Lazy Load Optimizer
2. Lazy Loader

But Embed any document is compatible with the following plugins

1. a3 Lazy Load
2. Lazy Load

Note: I have switched to a3 Lazy Load
Another strange behavior I have noticed is, SOMETIMES when a document does not load and there’s a place holder with a ‘Reload’ and ‘Open in new tab’ option. Even when clicking on the ‘reload’ button 2 or three times in a row does not reload the document at all.

Sometimes it requires as many as five times to click the reload button for the document to show up.

Other than these small issues, your plugin is working great.

Hi @vidyakv , when I tested embed any document with Lazy Load plugin. Everything works great in almost every browser including IE except on Firefox (both desktop and android version).

It works ok on firefox but the placeholder that’s supposed to appear do not appear. So sometimes, documents showed up but in other times nothing is displayed. Since there’s no placeholder with ‘reload’ and ‘open in new tab’ option. I cannot reload the documents.

In case you need to know:

a. When I retest your plugin (delete and reinstall the plugins, clear cache …) with Lazy Load Optimizer and Lazy Loader, documents sometimes showed up and sometimes they do not show up (just blank), and placeholder do not display in any browser I have tested viz, opera, edge, and chrome.

b. I had to replace a3 Lazy Load with Lazy Load, because files in a3 lazy load plugin do not get included in the CDN. (Issue not related to your plugin)
