When I edit a user profile the Password and Confirm Password fields are blank. This means that you have to update these fields even if you don’t want to, and if I’m doing it fo a user, they get their password changed as I don’t know what it is .
Can this be filled by default from the user profile so that I don’t have to change it.

Nearly 2 weeks for anyone to respond! I can’t go live without solving this as it makes managing uses so difficult when you have 4000+ users.

    Hello Pete

I apologise for not answering. We have actually been working on creating a button to press to change the password instead of having an empty input field. It will be ready in the next couple days

    Thank you for your patience!

    Sorry Shabti,
I am not sure I understand. Are you saying I could edit a user profile without having to input the password again, but if I wanted to, click a button?

Hello Pete, I think this has been fixed already. Can you please check again?,

    Shabti,
I updated to the latest version and the Password field is now being populated, but the Confirm Password is not, this still means something needs to be entered.

Hello Pete, are you using an ACF password field or a user password field from within the widget?

I’m using the user Password and user Confirm Password fields.

    Shabti,
I updated the plugin this morning.
Now I’m getting the Edit Password button on the elementor editor, but previewing the live page I still get the password and confirm password fields as before.

I really need this as quickly as possible, sorry to sound alarmist, but I’m delaying my client in user testing to be live before Christmas.

    Many thanks

    Hello

Looking at these pictures, I think that there has been a misunderstanding. There is no way to autofill the user’s password unless they have such a setting in their browser. The password is stored in a secure way so you cannot pull it in from the database. If the user does not want to change the password, they should not press the button.

On a side note, the feature for adding and editing posts in a relationship field has been released.

Try and changing any setting and then pressing the update button. Let me know if that works.

So what is the button for on the Elementor editor?
I want the end user to be able to change or not their password on the front end.
If I make the password field not required, I’d need some logic to say that if they do update their password, the confirm password matches, but if they do not change the password, the confirm password is ignored.

The button doesn’t do anything as far as I can see.

Oh, wait a minute, If I change the Password and Confirm Password to not required, the edit button comes up on the live page.

OK, maybe this is all I need.

I’ll get the users to test and see if I have to come back on this.

    Regards
    Pete
