Not getting Invoice mail

Hello,

I am using the free version of this plugin, and after setting up the invoice generated email and creating an invoice for a student, I did not get an invoice mail sent to the student’s email address I created.
how can I fix this please? This is like the only thing holding me from handing over the website to my client.
