Site only partially viewable
-
I’ve posted this on the Dutch forum too, but unluckily no one has the answer.
I’ve put up a site on my Windows Home Server system. I’ve installed MySQL, PHP and WordPress, and I’m using IIS6 as a server. I’m succesfull at creating a database and users, using myPhpAdmin. That’s why I assume the server part went well. Installing WordPress goes without errors and I’m presented with a standard installation. On my server that is. Whenever I’m using other PC’s in my network, or through the internet, only the text of the site is viewable, all layout is gone.
In the wp_config file I’ve changed the localhost to 84.245.xxx.xxx, server2 (name of my WHS) and to the internal 192.168.1.65 ip adress. Nothing helps.
What happens when I hoover above the articles or other links, is that I can see what goes wrong. All adresses start with https://localhost…. Now on my server that’s okay, but it happens on any pc. And that will not work for sure. But why doesn’t WordPress translate the localhost adress in the config file to anything useable?
I forwarded port 80 in my router, exactly like I did with port 21 for an ftp server. The ftp server is working great. Anyone?
