We have a number of reviews on the site, all assigned to post_id. I noticed today that our reviews are no longer showing on the right pages. Instead, they seem to be all showing on all pages.

I edited one post (I have hundreds to do if we have to do this individually) and noted that the block settings were slightly different, but still seemed to be set correctly to “assigned to this page.” I saved and refreshed the page…but still get all reviews.

I tried replacing the file you had shown to someone else and that didn’t solve my problem.

Our customers rely heavily on these reviews and this is our monthly high-volume sales time. I’m not sure if I should remove the reviews block or if there is something I should do to regenerate the correct connections.

We love your plugin. Any help would be appreciated.

By any chance are you running a multisite?

Also, did you see the notice in the WordPress Dashboard and Site Reviews menu telling you that a Database Update is needed? If you haven’t done so yet, please run the database update.

This is not a multisite. Console says that the last migration was run 10-26. I did see it and run it, but I do not see it now. I see the tool to re-run the migration. Would that help?

Please go to Tools page, and run the Migration tool, holding down the ALT or Option key to run all migrations.

If that doesn’t work, please use the Contact Suppport section of the help page to send me your Site Reviews System Info file, the Console log, as well as any screenshots that may help show the problem better.

I got: All plugin migrations have been run successfully.

Sadly, I’m still getting the problem. I will send you the information. Thank you for the help.

Do the reviews on that page share the same category or assigned post ID?

If you are assigning reviews to both a page and a category, using those assignment options in the summary and reviews shortcodes mean, “display reviews that are assigned to this page OR to that category.

You can read more details on this and the reasoning behind it, along with a solution here: https://github.com/pryley/site-reviews/issues/15

The next version of Site Reviews will use strict assignment by default and provide an option to switch between strict and loose assignment as shown in this screenshot.
