did you change the capability type to something besides “post” ? Also try without the 10 in the menu position.

I have tried various and none positions and also capability change…..still NADA

I have removed Custom Post Type and uninstalled post type, re-installed CPTUI and created another CPT but nothing is showing, no other plugins have been installed in this process and the last custom post type I created on the website previously was showing and was not any concern, it is since I removed that post type that I am now unable to add any further ones

Are you at a spot where you can try one of the default themes?

Even just filling in the bare minimum of post type slug, plural label, and singular label should get you something, assuming something else isn’t wrecking registered post types somehow.

I know where you are going with this, but unfortunately the main site is all finished, this was last minute amendments by clients that have caused me to go down this route of a CPT.
The First time I did it and it worked a charm, no problems at all, then client didnt want the name of the custom post type (dont ask, I told him it was for dashboard use only and the front end would be seen as something more desirable) but he wanted it changed, so I deleted the CPT completely to start again and that was when I encountered the issue, no plugins were added, deactivated or deleted

    and thus my issue ??

So what’s the current status here?

You are able to go in and use CPTUI to save new post types.

You’re not able to see any of them in the admin menu anywhere.

If yes, can you re-create some you need and then visit the tools menu and paste me the blob of text on the right side, for the “Post Types” tab?

When I access CPTUI , I can create a new Post Type and I can go back in and edit that post type BUT I can not create a NEW post from that post Type because there is no “ADD NEW Rescue” link on the left hand side under the custom post type “Rescues” because that also is not visible. Its like I can create and edit the CPT but I am not able to create an actual post under that Post Type – cause it just aint there ?

At this stage of the game I am unable to proceed, I know your plugin works and I have no qualms with it as I have it on so many other websites and it works perfectly but I am thinking that there must be a conflict somewhere. I don’t want to take anymore of your time up and am grateful for your time spent already, so have reverted to TOOLSET on this occasion, please this is not a reflection on your plugin, it is just a time constraint issue I have with current client. Please mark as resolved if you wish.

No worries on time spent thus far, it’s definitely a curious situation that I’d love to try and solve if you had the time as well. However, I understand deadlines too.

Glad to still have you as a CPTUI user as a whole. Let us know if you need anything else.

I just had this same issue and came to this discussion so, as it was a new site, disabled all plugins (Elementor and Pro, Ele Custom Skin, ACF, LiteSpeed Cache) and tried again and with everything else disabled I was able to add my Custom Post Type to the menu. It worked ONLY after I disabled ACF so I think that was the culprit: I deactivated it then went back and create a new custom post type, save that to get the menu listing up, then reactivated ACF and assigned the Field Group back to that post type. So far the menu is still there.

Interesting and curious why ACF could potentially be running interference in this type of way.

Yes, I thought so. I set the same up on another site just a few weeks ago and no issues, but disabling plugins to setup the Custom Post Type was key. Then I reactivated everything and no issues. I wouldn’t be hard to replicate as it was a clean site install with just the handful of plugins listed above.

so, ACF free + CPTUI + some settings from your install. I’m next curious if it’s something about what you registered with for your post type settings.

Any chance you could share that part via Tools > post type tab and the blob of JSON on the right?
