I have a page Q & A. The content of the page is to short codes that wil show responsive accordion.
How does ggolge/serach engines handle these kind of pages? The page shown in WP is blank except from two Short Code snippets. Adding a Focus Keyword and I get warnings such as

No internal links — There are no point in having internal links on this page
No Alt-attributes – I don`t have any pictures on the page, and why should I .
    Textlength and so on.

I have put this site as a no_index state, will this page that probably would have a low SEO score affect the SEO score for the site?

Is that a drawback on this kind of pages? Will The SEO Score suffer from all of this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@toguny If you are using a page builder module/shortcodes to create content it can sometimes cause the SEO and readability analysis features of the plugin to not work correctly. This is due to it causing the page’s content to not be accessible to the plugin as it is created outside the functions of the standard WordPress page editor.

However, this doesn’t mean though that Google won’t be able to crawl the page’s content or it will have an adverse effect on your site’s ranking. Google will still be able to read the page’s content, it’s just that our plugin isn’t capable of analyzing it due to the way the content is being created inside the WordPress editor.

Thanks for your anser ?? .Should I then try to set Key Phrases that can be found int the text that can be found int the text of the accordions mentioned above? And put the key phrases int the metadescription and so on.

    Hi @toguny,

We see that “Sp?rsm?l og Svar” page on your site is set to noindex, so search engines will not be able to recognize any text on the page. Search engines will ignore this page when they crawl your site and they will remove it from any existing search results.

If you’d like more details about the effects of noindex, you can find them in this guide: How do I noindex URLs?.

If you’d like the “Sp?rsm?l og Svar” page to appear in search results, it’s good to first remove the noindex. Then, we recommend setting a keyphrase and adding the keyphrase in the accordion text and meta description.

Even though Yoast SEO may not be able to recognize the keyphrases in the shortcode or in page builder modules, search engines will be able to read the text.

What is reccommended “Best Practise” to index or no_index Q & A pages? I can not see that the Information there would have much value for people that not already are members in our sports team. Or should I optimalize the pages anyway, since there may be a search engine that do not respect the index/no_index settings? As I understand Google tends to respect those settings. But that may not be the case alsways? Also Google has 92 % market dominans on world basis and probably in Norway even more so I do not se much use of optimalizing the page for other search engines.

There’s no specific best practice available to set the index or noindex on the Q & A pages. Setting index or noindex is the same across all types of pages.

On the other hand, we don’t think there are any search engines available that don’t follow the index or noindex rules as these are the basic standard rules that every search engines follow.

If you are not going remove the noindex from the relevant Q & A pages, there’s no point to optimize them since those will not appear in any search engines at all. So, what’s the point of optimizing them as optimization only requires when you want to show a page on search engine results.
