Accessibility Suite by Online ADA
-
I have a question. I am using the plugin “Accessibility Suite by Online ADA” to test my website for accessibility. I run a website dedicated to persons with Multiple Sclerosis so this is important for me.
Every time I run an audit on my site, the biggest thing that comes up is all in the MegaMenu.
What I see in the audit is “ERROR: id attribute value must be unique.”
Element <div id="mega-menu-wrap-header-menu" class="mega-menu-wrap"> <div class="mega-toggle-block mega-menu-toggle-animated-block mega-toggle-block-0" id="mega-toggle-block-0"> <ul id="mega-menu-header-menu" class="mega-menu max-mega-menu mega-menu-horizontal" data-event="hover_intent" data-effect="fade_up" data-effect-speed="200" data-effect-mobile="disabled" data-effect-speed-mobile="0" data-mobile-force-width="false" data-second-click="go" data-document-click="collapse" data-vertical-behaviour="standard" data-breakpoint="768" data-unbind="true" data-hover-intent-timeout="300" data-hover-intent-interval="100"> <li class="mega-menu-item mega-menu-item-type-custom mega-menu-item-object-custom mega-current-menu-item mega-current_page_item mega-menu-item-home mega-align-bottom-left mega-menu-flyout mega-menu-item-74" id="mega-menu-item-74"> homepage <div id="mega-menu-wrap-header-menu" class="mega-menu-wrap"> <div class="mega-toggle-block mega-menu-toggle-animated-block mega-toggle-block-0" id="mega-toggle-block-0"> <ul id="mega-menu-header-menu" class="mega-menu max-mega-menu mega-menu-horizontal" data-event="hover_intent" data-effect="fade_up" data-effect-speed="200" data-effect-mobile="disabled" data-effect-speed-mobile="0" data-mobile-force-width="false" data-second-click="go" data-document-click="collapse" data-vertical-behaviour="standard" data-breakpoint="768" data-unbind="true" data-hover-intent-timeout="300" data-hover-intent-interval="100">
I don’t see anything that should show as an error. But this is really annoying since I strive to be 100% compliant but this throws an error every time I run the audit.
Can anyone else see a problem here that I am missing? Is there any way to fix this so I do not get the errors?
Thanks for reading!
