Training/Tutoring Reservation System Suggestions

Hello. I’m looking for some advice here. I run a small, hobby-related website with typically about 20 registered users. About 5 of those users are responsible for teaching the hobby’s procedures to the rest of the registered users. We’re all volunteers and do this on our own time. What I need is some sort of booking/scheduling system that will do the following:

1) Each registered user who needs training uses some sort of calendar to post their availability, let’s say for the next couple of weeks. They need to be able to specify specific days and one-hour time slots, though they can specify blocks of time that they are available. For example, a “student” could post that they’re available Monday thru Friday from 8 am till 5 pm. It’s ok if multiple “students” post the same dates and time blocks as we have multiple “trainers”.

2) Once the “students” post their availability the “trainers” then hand pick not only the student they want to teach, but they also pick a specific date and 1-hour time slot, and appvove the “training request”.

3) Ideally, though not required, I’d like it if a page on my website could show booked training sessions so that other users can see when there are appointments.

Nobody gets paid for taking part in this hobby or doing the “training” so I’d much prefer a free plugin, however for the right system I could pay a small, one-time fee. I will not pay for a monthly service.

As far as I can tell most of the systems I’ve seen so far assumes the person who would post their availability would be the “salesperson” or “teacher” and then those who wanted an appointment with them could book a slot. I want it to be the other way around. We currently use Setmore, which works by having our “trainers” post their availability and our “students” book them for sessions. Again, I’d prefer the “students” to be the ones posting their availability. Plus Setmore’s free service is very limited and doesn’t allow enough users to be able to post their availability. Even their paid service is too limited.

I realize this is a bit of a long post but my needs are very specific, so I appreciate you reading it and responding.
