    Hello,

    ‘sure this is an easy question but for a noob… not so much. I have downloaded and installed a template, which works fine. The template comes with a “home” page link on the nav bar. This home page shows all of the recent posts. However, I want to make a static ‘home’ page and not have all of the posts show on the home page, but of course when I add a ‘home’ page to be my static landing page, there are two ‘home’ pages in the nav bar. I dont really need all the posts to show in the home page, jsut in the categories in the sidebar would be fine.

    Theme is the foodey theme here:
    https://www.wptemplates.net/2009/11/free-wp-theme-foodm-2/

    Is it a theme property or another property Im not finding that will let me do what I have described?

  • A link to your site would help.

    Add a ‘home’ page to be your static landing page,
    and remove below code in header.php on line 116.
    echo "<li" . $addclass . "><a href='" . get_option('home') . "' title='Home'><span>Home</span></a></li><li><div class='nav-div'></div></li>";

    It will not show two ‘home’ pages in the nav bar.
