• So at the first test, this didn’t work (which I admit, I was kinda expecting this because all YITH plugins are buggy)!

There was no visual notification at all, however, the sound did play, but it was very difficult to stop with no visual notification. The only way to stop it was by shutting down the browser (rather annoying).

To make matters worse, I then noticed when visiting the frontend of the site in a private browser, it was asking guests if they would allow my site to send them push notifications. wtf! not something that I wanted at all.

    Hello there,

Thanks for leave your opinion about our plugin and help us to improve our products.

I checked and seems you don’t have opened any support topic related to your problems, before leave a review, give us the opportunity to try to help you opening a topic about your problem.

I checked the visual notification on my local installation and seems to work fine

See the following link with my test

As you can see, the notification is showed. In order to have notifications on your site, your site needs to be on https, on http, the notifications don’t show.

    About it:

To make matters worse, I then noticed when visiting the frontend of the site in a private browser, it was asking guests if they would allow my site to send them push notifications. wtf! not something that I wanted at all.

In the next release we will include a fix to prevent to show this notification to guest users.

I would like to reconsider your opinion about our plugin and give us the opportunity to try to help you.

    Have a good day.
