wavesurfer.js is loaded from Cloudflare

Hi @kelmas, thanks for logging this ticket.

We are aware of this privacy issue, and are in fact currently in the process of replacing the current HTML player with an new version, that adds more functionality, looks better, does not require Wavesurfer, and only loads CSS or JavaScript it needs directly from the plugin.

We are working towards getting this update out before the end of the month, so please bear with us. Once it is out everyone can enjoy a better, more privacy aware, HTML player in the plugin.

I’m therefore going to mark this ticket as closed for now.

It’s taken a bit longer than expected, but we’re in the final stages of testing the 2.5.0 release
