Our church has a WordPress site. We want to add a holiday baazar to it using WooCommerce. But I don’t want to blow up the current site. I’m not sure of the best install path.

Our site is “https://ascvt.org”. Ideally, the link to the baazar would be either “ascvt.org/baazar” or “baazar.ascvt.org”

Obviously, I don’t want the first choice, which starts with installing WordPress.

Second choice is auto-install. Sounds like it could blow up the existing site.

Third choice is the plugin. I have added many plugins to my site, so that’s ok. But I am not sure how it will handle users getting to the baazar.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

Just to make sure: How do you see WooCommerce fitting into this? I’m asking as the project you’re describing sounds like it has more do with running multiple instances of WordPress (either in subdomain or subdirectory) and I’m not sure where WooCommerce comes into play with that?

Thanks. I have now been told that I need a subdomain with WordPress installed on it that I can then use to add the WooCommerce plug-in.
    Make sense?

If you want to make sure that your original site isn’t affected, then a separate subdomain sounds like a good idea. Then you could install WordPress and WooCommerce for that holiday bazaar. If you need help with subdomain, your website host would be the best person to talk with further on this.
