    Hi,
I have read great reviews for this plugin and really want to use it on our sites but am having a lot of trouble with it slowing down backend processing.
I have several site on one domain where I tried using the plugin:
Each site uses Woocommerce and when using the plugin it takes really long (15 – 20 secs) to convert an order form “On hold” to “Completed”. If multiple orders are selected the site gets a timeout error 524 – establishing database connection. One of the other sites uses YITH Gift Card plugin which emails out gift cards once they are paid for. But using SMTP they were not being consistently sent. Many times getting an error “CRITICAL Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 777101312 bytes) in /home/xxxxxxxxxx/domains/cida.site/public_html/online/wp-content/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/easy-wp-smtp.php on line 323”. And at the same time making backend processing of orders incredibly slow.
When I switch back to PHPMailer, none of these problems present.
I am happy to send as much info as you may need with regards to these problems.

  • Hi, how much memory is allocated to your site? Have you also tried a plugin/theme conflict test?

What was the issue here?? Was it resolved? I’m researching whether or not I want to even install this plugin, especially considering its past vulnerabilities. The last thing I need is something to slow down MY WooCommerce site even more…
