    Hi,
I have a little problem with my site. I optimized my page with your plugin but it’s still slow on load. Can you please take a quick look if I did something wrong and why is it slow on load ?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hey eld1997; what tool do you use to assess your site’s performance?

I don’t think I understand fully your question. If you ask for “What I used to test my performance”, I used PageSpeed Insights and GTMetrix

    well, on GTmetrix your numbers didn’t look too shabby actually with a TTFB of 150ms, 1.7 onLoad and 3.3s fully loaded;

You seem to have AO off now and did not make a screenshot of the results, but if I remember correctly you could improve by preloading some files (Autoptimize -> Extra -> preload) and by ensuring the CSS (and JS) is no longer render-blocking for which “inline & defer CSS” can help (see AO FAQ for more info).

Yes, I try something different. I activated Autoptimize again and try to preload and “Inline & defer CSS” but then my site is complitly broken.

Is there something I need to type in this filed “Paste the above the fold CSS here …” ?

I FIND CRITICAL CSS AND PASTE IT IN FIELD BUT STILL WHEN PAGE LOAD THERE IS SO MUCH PROBLEMS

have a look at the FAQ I linked to, it has a lot of info on what “inline & defer” is and what to fil in the “above the fold CSS” field.

I’ve done it, and I do everything what is needed but there is a problem with loading page, it’s gone crazy for a second.

just had a look, but it “inline & defer” is off again so hard to say what is going wrong. where did you generate the “above the fold CSS”?

I’m so sorry, now it’s on and I will not touch it until you review. I generate critical CSS on Pegasaas.

Here is a little example of problem. When page is loading this is a problem for a few frames :

Well, problem very likely is that you generated the “above the fold CSS” for one page (homepage?) but that that does not contain the specific CSS needed on the contact or shop pages. If you’re somewhat familiar with CSS, you could try tweaking the “above the fold CSS” to also contain selectors for the shop & contact pages maybe?

If not, the “critical CSS” tab can do all of that automatically for you, but it does require a paying subscription over at critical css ..

Thank you very much, just one more question.

Is this fixable with your plugin ?

I tried everything but nothing really helps.

load key requirements in advance; yes you can try Autoptimize -> Extra -> Preload for that

unused CSS; no, not at the moment (soon though, someone is close to releasing an addition to AO to do just that). The unused CSS is being reported as being Autoptimize’s, but AO merely aggregates all the CSS provided by your theme & plugins, so if you (really) want to tackle “remove unused CSS/JS” then you should look into your theme & plugins (you might be able to get some improvement using e.g. “plugin organizer” to only allow plugins to work on specific pages).

    hope this clarifies,
    frank
