Alt tags not changing on featured images

  • Hello, I have been updating the alt tags of my images in my media files, and then re-inserting them in posts already containing the image to update the alt tag on the post. It works without issue.

    However, the featured image/thumbnails that show on my homepage seem to have the older alt tags. I have tried deleting the featured image on the post and re-selecting the image in my media files. This still does not correct the alt tags of the featured image.

    Do I need to recreate my thumbnails to fix this? Any other solutions? Thanks.

  • Hi, beantown123, I wanted to know what theme you were using for troubleshooting purposes.

    Did you set the homepage to display your latest posts and so you have the featured thumbnails display on the homepage or is there some other means that you are displaying them on that page?

    Thanks for the response. My theme is by Solo Stream, so you probably do not know it. I believe all of the themes are built similarly.

    Yes, the way I have it set is for the latest posts to show with thumbnails on the homepage.
