User role editor and custom post types

  • Hello.
    I am using User role editor to create roles for my website.
    Brand, content creator, business service

    I have also created custom post types using Custom Post Type UI.
    I have created custom fields using Advanced Custom Fields.

    When I set the user to be AUTHOR, they can see the custom post types and when they add an article, they see the custom fields.

    BUT, they can also see all the other articles from their share role type (E.g. Brand)

    If i uncheck “Edit others posts” the other role posts are no longer visible, but they can also NOT SEE the custom fields anymore.

    Please can i get some assistance with this, thank you.
