• I have moved my website to another hosting company. I still have two months with my original host and would like to play around with my site there since no one will see it. When I use the shared IP address to get into WordPress (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/~username/wp-admin) it directs me the sign in page on my live site.

Is there a way to get into WordPress backend on my old host?

I can get into CPanel and change files or the database.

First, use PHPMYADMIN to change the URL values in wp_options from example.com to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/~username. Once you have done that, you should be able to login. Then, install the plugin “better search replace” and use that to globally, in all tables, do the same replacement.
