I have tried to ftp my site but it shows the “folder as empty”. How can I find this file and delete it and re upload? I am having this same issue with a theme as well.

    Thanks,
    Brandon

  • you still need to delete the folder – even if empty

so what was the response please because i am having the same problem as this person. i cant delete a folder that i cannot find.
Also my profile has come up with incorrect info. Groan i am NOT wordpress consultant and i do not make aliving from wordpress. you will soon appreciate from the very very simple questions i ask. thanks in advance to anyone who can help me with the plugin problem. Alannah

Just had the same issue. Actually WS-FTP pro could not see the folder, bu urned out DreamWeaver could, so it did exist.

Sometimes changing the FTP system om the server causes these strange inconsistencies.

I had the same problem before:
Just go to your plugins page and see at the top “Inactive plugins”, click on it, then you will find the plugin you wanted, then just activate it.
