Blocksy out of the box owns the competition without issue

Blocksy is one of the most involved themes I’ve ever had the pleasure to play with. It has so many good features for free that I can’t imagine what new features pro will have but judging from the excellent workmanship of the free product I have high hopes for the future of this theme.

When people say themes are dead they should really take a look at Blocksy. It is changing the name of the game.

If you haven’t given Blocksy I try you really should. But it’s not all good they are areas they can tighten up on. So I’ll break it down into PROS and CONS

PROS
– Many free features not included with other themes – social icons, sticky header, header and footer builder.
– Fairly fast on desktop
– CSS options for Links (6 total)
– Extra widget options
– Easy navigation once you spend time with it.

CONS
– Needs to tighten up on mobile isn’t bad by any means. Average.
– More options needed for blogging (kinda limited might be a pro feature)
– No Gutenberg blocks (yet) – Wouldn’t mind a package that includes their own Gutenberg blocks. Using Kadence free at the moment, it’s the only one that’s decent.

Overall the cons aren’t enough to lose a star. The theme is strong enough to stand on its own with all the things it does right.
