Visual Tab of Edit Post not working

That is not the problem. It is not selected.

I also cannot add photos to my blog in both visual and html mode.

Try disabling your plugins to see if one of those is causing the problem. If it starts working again. Re-activate them one by one to see which it is.

I tried that already. It wasn’t one of my plugins.

Tried a different browser?

And, if you are using IE8, try clicking on the Compatibility Mode icon just to the right of the address bar. It looks like a torn piece of paper.

I am using Firefox and it does the same thing in Safari.

Can I please get a moderator to help me!!! The edit post is not working. I already deactivated all of my plugins and that is not the problem. Now my favicon doesn’t work after I deactivated the plugin for it and I had to reinstall the favicon.ico and it is still not working.

I would like to enter a new post on my blog and cannot because I cannot add any photos because the photo icon is not working and as I stated above the Visual tab is not working.

Have you tried:

– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I tried both of those and it still doesn’t work.

I just checked my WordPress on Firefox for Windows from my office computer and it works fine. I restarted my Apple computer and I still have the same problem. The Visual tab is showing the HTML toolbar and the Add an Image icon does not open.

Well it is not exactly working on my PC at work. The Visual tab toolbar appears, but the Add Image icon does not work in Firefox and IE7.

Download a fresh copy of WordPress and unzip it to you local drive.

FTP into your webspace and delete both the wp-admin and wp-includes folders.

Then using the fresh version you’ve just downloaded, re-upload both of those folders again via FTP. Make sure your FTP client is set to ‘Auto’ mode.

Whatever you do, don’t touch the wp-content folder or your wp-config.php file.

Well, that was a nightmare. I deleted the two folders and it took hours to upload them again. I ended up having to do bits at a time.

And……..IT STILL DOESN’T WORK!!!!

I am sorry for the all caps, but I am so frustrated. Now, I can see the Visual toolbar, but the little toolbar icons are blank and the Add Image still doesn’t work. ??

I tried speaking to someone via IRC, but no one answered me.
