    Hello,
    Hi,
I’m using the events calendar free plugin and am not sure if this is limitation of the plugin, but for some reason I cannot get events calendar to save display conditions with Elementor pro.

I can create templates and The ‘event’ post type is checked in Elementor settings but also I cannot see the event in the theme template builder options ?

Note: This issue is not theme specific as I tried switching to the default theme and nothing worked. I also deactivated all plugins without success.

    2. I’ve done all troubleshooting steps like switched themes, deactivated all plugins, read documentation on the events calendar website.

    3. ‘Events’ shows as a post type in Elementor settings but not as an option in theme builder , so I can create a template with events but the display conditions do not obey the rule I set.

Is this user error, am I missing something ? Can you guide me if I am.
    ?

PS! I have updated to the latest EM version on my staging site to troubleshoot this but the same issue is also happening on version 2.9.9 on my main site.

Are there known issues with the event calendar plugin and Elementor pro builder. I really wanted to use all the styling options of elementor because out of the box all events pages do not look good.

    Regards
    Dan

  • Same here – date is stuck at current time after I saved the file.
Which was not troubling me, because the first version I had installed showed the same behavior, but in frontend the event was properly displayed.
Now if you get it to find – it’s stuck in the past with timestamp of publishing it.
Page title is amazingly: “30” –
I checked database – found no tribe posts – I assume they are intercept by my theme Avada –
Post id row in DB is filled with zeros or blanks etc.
If I click on the page url in editor I receive 404 error.

Hi and thank you for getting in touch. This is Wolf Bishop with Modern Tribe. Thanks for understanding why we needed to move this from the ticket to here.

If i understand correctly, you do not see a calendar/event block when you create a new event. Is that correct?

For testing purposes, have you tried to create that new event using either the classic bulder or Gutenberg to see if the problem with conditions not saving persists?

    Hi,
The person you answered has a completely different issue to this topic I created.

He went as far as to change the tags to Avada and removed Elementor so has hijacked this thread which is kinda rude.

I’d appreciate you keep on topic and assist me with my original inquiry.

    Thanks

    Hi @marzmuso

Sorry for any confusion, but I was referring to your inquiry. Specifically, this:

I can create templates and The ‘event’ post type is checked in Elementor settings but also I cannot see the event in the theme template builder options ?

    And this:

‘Events’ shows as a post type in Elementor settings but not as an option in theme builder , so I can create a template with events but the display conditions do not obey the rule I set.

    Hi,

Ok no worries, moving swiftly on…

So there don’t seem to be any pages created by events manager so I cannot even edit the events calendar pages with Elementor.

To clarify, I can only create templates using 3rd party widgets ( element pack that are for made for designing a grid.) Those work 100% fine standalone.

However, when clicking it goes to the basic not so eye pleasing default event page.

Are your developers able to create a line of code to allow “tribe_events ” to be a post type to work with Elementors display conditions ? I already mentioned this in the email…

    Thanks

    Hi @marzmuso

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately the only real integration we have with Elemtor lies within our [tribe_events] shortcode.

You can read more about that here:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/using-tribe_events-with-elementor/

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

    Hi Jaime,
    Just seeing this message now.

    Thanks for the link !

After experimenting with the shortcode [tribe events] on an Elementor page template , it seems the events calender cannot be styled with Elementor and will take allot of CSS and time to get it close to resembling my theme design.

I do hope your team will consider full integration with Elementor in the near future by including it as a custom post type which will unlock the full styling capabilities of Elementor, as many other plugin developers have done.

    Thanks
    Dane

Hi @marzmuso I had the same problem and find a solution. Qhen you save the display conditions on elementor the Events Plugin overwrite this information and looks like a default events post.

I founded the plugin The Events Calendar Extension: Tweaks.
    https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/tec-tweaks/

This plugin fixes some things and improvements. It also includes an option to disable the plugin’s default views. By activating this, I have made my elementor templates show up in events and event files.

    I hope this helps.

@elpezquemuerde did you manage to get the page/event title passing through to elementor template? We are still stuck on this.
