Upload/Insert Tool bar not working

  • This standard WP tool has been working fine, giving me access to the media library where I have been uploading images, entering tags and descriptions, as well as selecting them for insertion in Posts and Pages.

    It is all grayed out now and does not do anything.

    I am not a php code expert, but is there somewhere in the php files I should look to see if something has got corrupted?

    Any other suggestions for me?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    Have you tried it with Firefox? I have the same problem since yesterday (the last Windows update maybe?), but only in IE8, not with FF.

    SOLUTION FOUND >>>>

    Went thru and deactivated every single plugin and then stepped through and activet on at a time. The culprit was the plugin ‘Bad Behavior’ (not kidding!!) It was the latest version and only downloaded the other day.

    This bad plugin is aptly named, and is off my server now.

    I was working with 2.8.6 and everyrhing worked. Then I uploaded 2.9.1
    and now my toolbar is useless. It may as well not be there.I can use any of the buttons but they do not do any thing. Everything from the toolbar is dead. Any solutions?
