Can’t Add Categories

Hello there,
A very strange issue, I encountered upon. I’ve switched my site on WPEngine to default twenty-twenty theme and then deactivated all plugins.
Now, while adding Categories, it shows an error: “Empty term”.

Once page refreshes, it shows like this:

I’ve no idea, what’s going on here!Anyone encountered this before, any suggestions?
