• I’ve downloaded Cutline-1.4-3columnright to my desktop. Then I opened the file manager. I navigated to the themes folder and clicked upload. I found the theme files folder on my desktop, but am unable to upload it. I can upload individual files from the folder, but not the entire folder. What am I doing wrong?

  • I’m not sure where are you coming form but it seems like you use files manager under the cpanel of you web hosting.

File manager in cPanel not allow you to upload the whole directory at once. What you need to do is compress the theme folder in your desktop to .zip files. Then, upload .zip file to /wp-content/themes.

After that, unzip the file using file manager (if you file manager have ‘extract’ option)

Alternatively, you can use free FTP client like ‘Win SCP’. After remote to the server, you will be able to drag and drop theme folder from your desktop to the server.

I have had the same problem but in php admin I cannot find the wp-content/themes file – can you help?
