Just FYI, if you are running Divi (it’s not a very popular theme LOL) Wordfence will make the page editor basically inoperable if you have <script></script> tags anywhere in your page content. The worse thing is, many of the things Wordfence does to cause the issues you get no popup notification because it’s Divi using Ajax calls in the background that Wordfence is blocking. You’ll see strange stuff happen like the preview page keeps launching or you can’t save page edits.

While in the Front End Builder I did finally see a Wordfence popup to whitelist the Ajax call and did so. But boy, I sure wasted a lot of time with Divi Support before figuring this all out.

After reading a few past threads, basically it sounds like the solution is to put the firewall into learning mode. I did this, edited a page and put some <script></script> code in it. Saved. Then enabled the firewall. This may or may not work for you as the previous whitelisting popup I got before may have fixed it but if you run into the problem you might try the temporary learning mode solution to see if it works for you.

Wordfence should have a Knowledgebase article on how to fix the Divi problem as a lot of people may not edit any pages while the firewall is in learning mode.

Hello @consultant1027 and thanks for reaching out!

I am glad you were able to resolve this issue with Learning Mode. Learning Mode is a good starting point if you’re having any issues with a plugin not working correctly with Wordfence or if you are seeing a lot of 403 errors when using Wordfence. Learning Mode helps the firewall know that these actions, in your case the script tags, are normal actions for your site.

You could also check Tools > Live Traffic for any blocks that might be Divi, and you can whitelist these actions right from here.

https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/learning-mode/ is a great reference for Learning Mode.

I will suggest to our team about adding a section on that page for Divi.

Thanks for your input and support!
