Login and register page marked as noindex

    We understand that you have those 2 pages showing as noindex even after verifying the Yoast settings on those pages.

    We had a quick look at those pages and do see that on both pages, there is <meta name='robots' content='noindex,noarchive' />. However, this line is outside the Yoast output. The Yoast meta robots line show: <meta name="robots" content="index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1" /> on both pages.

    Having said this, this line of code might come from your theme or any other plugin that outputs meta tags. We would encourage you to check your theme settings or any other plugin that might be outputting this.

    Thanks for the quick response. I see here: https://yoast.com/which-pages-noindex-or-nofollow/ wordpress noindexes login pages by default. Is there any way I can overwrite it?

    Unfortunately, Yoast SEO does not have a feature to change the noindex or the meta robots tag on the WordPress login page.

    Since this is added by the wp_sensitive_page_meta function, we can suggest taking a look at the WordPress code reference information about the login header.
