Yoast, but better

  • I felt like Yoast was kind of falling behind with their checks and started looking for an alternative that was more in line with how I edit for SEO. Yoast’s checks are based on dated SEO practices and it hasn’t really updated to reflect the more flexible approach people need to take with editing for SEO.

    While NO SEO plugin is going to make or break your on-page SEO, RankMath offers a lot of the stuff Yoast locks behind their premium version, which I’ve never felt is worth what they charge. (Don’t get me wrong—Yoast offers a great plugin! But the real value is in the free version.)
