Add columns to Turbo Sidebar without auto-insert?

Is there any way to be able to set the number of columns you’d like your turbo sidebar to have without using the auto-insert function? I only upgraded the plugin for the purpose of being able to set the number of columns, but since that appears to only work with auto-inserted turbo sidebars, everything is still showing up in one column instead of 3. My theme does not want to show the auto-inserted turbo sidebar on my homepage; it will only show the ones I insert manually via shortcode.
