    Hi @dacregistry,

Can you please clarify, do you see this issue on all user roles or only on one certain user role.
Do you have any other membership or user role editing plugins installed
Please try to create a new user role and see whether you can replicate this issue.

    Let me know.
    Regards.

I have done this multiple times. nothing has changed since yesterday except the plugin was updated overnight.
I am attemtping to edit existing profiles, and I’ve created new ones.

I am able to edit profiles from the dashboard, but the users can’t edit their own profiles.

    Thanks for your help.

Same issue here for members trying to register. Only happens when I’m trying to use the predefined field Roles (radio or dropdown) on my registration form. I’ve disable all other plugins to make sure it wasn’t a plugin conflict.

Yes, I’ve disabled all other plugins, unactivated and activated UM multiple times. Nothing seems to fix it.
I am using the default theme too…

It was working great until last night.
I am sure is the update

I hope someone can help us

Rolled back to the previous version.
and it fixed it. i’ll skip this version then.

Rollback fixed the issue for me as well.

I had this issue, the fix I did (in case you don’t want to rollback) was to remove the role field upon registration and use the “New User Default Role” selection under Settings -> General. Worked for me.

    Hi there,

Please update the Ultimate Member plugin to the latest 2.1.10 version. There was added a fix.

    Let me know,
    Thanks!

    Solved !!
My plugin version is 2.1.16. and my issue is resolved without roll backing plugin. just follow below steps :

    AS @apabiona mentioned
First, go to the registration form (edit)
find “Customize this form section” at right side, then change “Assign role to form “ to “Default”.

Second, Go to wordpress website Setting >> general and change “New User Default Role” to desired user role(In my case it is subscriber).

    Bingo!!
    Thanks @apabiona

You didn’t have to roll back because it was fixed in 2.1.10 and you have a newer version than that.
