I am using WooCommerce and the ‘product image’ area has disappeared in the admin panel, leaving me unable to upload new images. Images previously uploaded are still in place at front end.

    Recent changes:
Upgrading to PHP 7.2.32 but no problems until 24hrs later.

Installed plugin “MMWD Remove Add To Cart for WooCommerce” to remove cart. no problems until 24hrs later.

Problem started some time after i made the following changes to improve performance:

    1. I checked this in my theme: “Delete old CSS and JS files?
Check if you want to delete expired CSS and JS files generated by the theme. Only recommended if you are NOT using a caching plugin (since a cached page might still use those files)”
I wasn’t using a caching plugin at this point so assumed it was fine.

    2. Added ‘WP Super Cache’ (now removed)

    3. Added ‘Optimus – WordPress Image Optimizer’ (now removed)

I have disabled all plugins other than WooCommerce and reverted to TwentyTwenty theme but still have the same problem. Same problem in other browsers.

    I am using:
    WordPress 5.5.1
    WooCommerce 4.4.1
    Theme: Enfold 4.7.6
    PHP version: 7.2.32.

I have a full backup from 36hrs before problem started – if I use this I will lose hours of work.
And a Database backup before problem started – will be up to date.

    Can anyone help please?

Resolved. The panel had moved from the right side bar to a collapsed strip on main dashboard.
