Active opt-in

Is it possible to add an option for the user to opt-in to joining the ActiveCampaign list?

The main purpose of my form is a contact form for messages, not to collect emails, so I don’t want to sign people up unwillingly.

There was already a question about this, resolved, but I don’t see what the resolution was? Thanks!
